On New Year’s Eve 2018 the body of 23-year-old Nicole Coleman was discovered by a bicyclist on the 7000 block of Ed Bluestein Boulevard. Investigators said she was found nude with obvious signs of trauma.

Surveillance video shows Coleman walking through a gas station on December 28. Coleman is wearing shorts, a long sleeve shirt, and sandals. She is seen walking alone at 5:26 p.m. and 6:07 p.m.

In a press conference on Wednesday, police said Coleman is considered a "high-risk victim," who was new to the area. According to investigators, Coleman was receiving treatment for mental health problems at a facility close to where her body was found.

The Travis County Medical Examiner ruled Coleman’s death a homicide. The cause of death is not being released at this time to maintain the integrity of the investigation.
