GEORGETOWN, Texas — A local couple tied the knot Wednesday in a last minute ceremony at St. David's Georgetown Hospital.

  • Bride diagnosed with cancer
  • Couple together 20 years
  • Five children together

Brandy Cisneros and Mario Orona are High School sweethearts. They have been together for more than 20 years, raising five children.

Cisneros has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

The couple planned to exchange nuptials at a courthouse, but Cisneros became ill with an infection. She is being treated for the infection at St. David's. To avoid delaying their marriage any longer, the couple decided to marry at the hospital.

A nurse worked with hospital staff to plan a hospital chapel wedding in one day. Dietary staff made a cake for the family. The couple did a wedding toast with sparkling grape juice.
