NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – It was a big night for the University of Texas, who kicked off the new year with a win in New Orleans.

The Longhorns upset the Georgia Bulldogs in the Sugar Bowl 28-21. This means Texas is finishing its season 10 and 4.
Westlake alumnus, and UT quarterback Sam Ehlinger was the hero for the Horns, rushing for three touchdowns in the game. He was named the Most Valuable Player.
At one point during the game, the Longhorn mascot Bevo knocked down his barricade and briefly ran towards the Georgia mascot. A photographer was scraped on the back during the scuffle.
