AUSTIN, Texas — Richard Overton, the oldest-living World War II veteran, has been released from the hospital after battling pneumonia.
According to Overton’s family, he has been moved to a rehabilitation facility and they hope he will regain his strength in the coming days.
“You all need to know just how thankful Richard and his family is for your love, prayers and for the wonderful blessings you are to him during this time of difficulty,” Voluma Overton Jr. said in a Facebook post.
Overton was hospitalized earlier this month.
