AUSTIN, TEXAS - According to a message to parents, a student was injured in a fall at Austin’s Murchison Middle School Monday morning.

Principal Brad Clark wrote that the student was injured in a fall from a second-story balcony during a passing period. The student was taken to a hospital. A spokesperson for the Austin Independent School District said the injuries were minor.
Clark thanked the staff and emergency personnel for quick actions. He did not, however, detail the specific circumstances in which the fall took place.
