BASTROP, Texas – Flood operations are underway in Bastrop after overnight storms on Friday.

One floodgate was partially opened to move out some of the runoff from late night rain at Lake Bastrop.  

The Lower Colorado River Authority has been opening and closing dams for weeks after heavy rain caused massive amounts of flooding for Central Texas.

All of the Highland Lakes floodgates are now closed. The final floodgates open at Mansfield and Tom Miller dams closed on Wednesday.
