BASTROP, Texas – A Bastrop Independent School District bus was involved in a crash Wednesday morning that sent 10 students to the hospital.
Around 8 a.m. the bus carrying 19 students was involved in a crash at Tucker Hill Lane and Highway 71.
Approximately eight students and the bus driver were transported to Dell Children’s Hospital with minor injuries. Two other students were reportedly taken to the hospital by their parents who arrived at the scene. The bus driver was also transported to the hospital for evaluation and released.
The crash is currently under investigation. The students were from Cedar Creek High School, Cedar Creek Middle School and Cedar Creek Intermediate.
The bus route is 220.
Bastrop ISD released a statement saying they will provide counseling and support upon students return to school.
