AUSTIN, Texas – Early morning and late-night drivers might be impacted by new closures on Interstate 35 in South Austin starting on Monday.
The northbound main lane and ramp will close between Woodward Street and Oltorf Street Monday, Sept. 17 through Thursday, Sept. 20.
The closures start at 10 p.m. and roadways will re-open at 5 a.m. Friday night’s closure might impact weekend traffic as it starts at 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Saturday.
Crews will be re-striping lanes and opening a new exit ramp.
During those hours driver are encouraged to take the frontage road or South Congress.
Construction is also underway for I-35 and Williamson Cannon where a bridge is being constructed and main lanes widened.
