AUSTIN, Texas – Students and staff at Del Valle High School were evacuated after a kitchen fire Thursday morning.

The fire ignited in the kitchen at the ninth grade cafeteria around 8 a.m. The fire has since been extinguished.

Classes were supposed to start at 8:30 a.m., but no one was allowed back into the school until 9:30 a.m.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. 

No one was injured in the fire.

The school is located at 5201 Ross Rd.
