AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas A&M Forest Service is stressing the dangers of wildfires and urging everyone to recreate with caution this weekend.

The service said whenever there's heat, wind and low humidity, there is the potential for wildfire danger. Experts are urging families and others enjoying the outdoors to think smart and do everything that they can to prevent wildfires from starting.

The service reports there were 92 wildfires in the state this past week, with more than 3,000 acres burned.
