TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas -- For the holiday, the Travis County Sheriff's Office is cracking down on drunken drivers.
Deputies are participating in the Impaired Driving Mobilization grant this week.
Motorists should expect to see more deputies out on the roads before and after the Fourth of July. Austin police are also in a "no refusal period" through the holiday.
The policy means if police ask a driver to give a breathalyzer test and he or she refuses to submit to one, a deputy will request a warrant to draw that person's blood.
