TEMPLE, Texas -- Police in Temple, Texas, are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place early Sunday morning.

According to the Temple Police Department, the stabbing took place after 5:30 a.m. in the area of South 51^st Street and West Avenue K.

Arriving officers located a man in the yard of a home. CPR was initiated, but the victim succumbed to his wounds.

Police detained several people at the scene. Among them was 45-year-old Nancy Mosley, of Temple. She was arrested and could be facing charges, police said.

An investigation is ongoing and the identity of the decadent will be released once his family is notified.
