AUSTIN, Texas — Fragile Rock (no it’s not a typo, but it IS a play on the beloved Jim Henson series), an Austin-based band, is on our “not to miss" list at SXSW.

They’re 10-piece emo band of puppets, musicians, singers, performers and “ultimate rock and roll sadness.”

Since launching in Austin, Texas in 2014, their live shows are garnering a lot of buzz for wild onstage antics, but most of all, fun!

The band appeared on NPR Tiny Desk Concert last July, where host Bob Boilen remarked, "For just 15 minutes on a glorious spring day in Washington, D.C., National Public Radio became National Puppet Radio."

“Sure they may mash up Joy Division with the Backstreet Boys but go ahead, let the Fragile Rock in. Don't let them deny your puppet pain. Stay Felt,” the “About” section on their website boasts.  

So basically, if you like music, fun and puppets, you’ve got to check out Austin's own Fragile Rock.
