TEXAS – Two Texas cities have ranked in the top three fastest-growing economies across the country.
Nationwide, economies grew 11 percent over the past five years, according to a report by Headlight Data.
The top growing metro-area was San Jose, California. Coming in at number two is Austin, Texas, with 34.7 percent growth. San Antonio lands the number three spot with 30.5 percent growth. Dallas-Fort Worth made it into the top five, beating out San Francisco by a 0.1 percent growth difference.

- Denver, CO: (17.9 percent)
Statewide, the growing economy has also led to a 3 percent forecast increase in job growth.
This is not the first time Austin has ranked in the top spots on a national list. In 2017, Austin landed in the top spot for the city with the highest levels of binge and excessive drinking in Texas.
