BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas – The trial is underway for the man accused of killing six people at an East Texas campsite in 2015.

If convicted, William Hudson could face the death penalty for killing 77-year-old Carl Johnson and his 40-year-old daughter Hannah Johnson.

Prosecutors say the Johnsons were camping with extended family on land they bought from Hudson's family in Anderson County. Hudson allegedly regretted selling the land and killed the six family-members after showering them with alcohol, according to special prosecutor Lisa Tanner.

In addition to the slayed father and daughter, Hudson is also charged with capital murder for killing four other members of the Johnson's extended family on the camping-trip. Brazos County jail records show that the youngest victim is under the age of 10.

Even though the killings occurred in Anderson County, the trial was moved to Brazos County to avoid jury biases.
