ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Greater Rochester International Airport is getting nearly $5 million in relief from the federal government.
The aid is part of last month’s COVID-19 relief package.
The airports in Penn Yan, Canandaigua, Batavia, and Dansville are all getting anywhere from $24,000 to $13,000 of relief.
The travel industry has been one of the hardest hit from the pandemic.

Avelo Airlines is offering two new routes, to Concord, North Carolina and Lakeland, Florida.
The project is expected to be completed by summer 2025.
This is the first nonstop service out of Rochester to Harry Reid International Airport since 2008.
