The Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport is getting two more non-stop flights.

Avelo Airlines is offering two new routes, to Concord, North Carolina, just minutes outside of Charlotte, and Lakeland, Florida, which is located between Tampa and Orlando.

These routes start in the fall and will operate twice a week, Monday and Friday.

Lakeland begins Oct. 25. and Concord begins Nov. 8.

We’re excited to continue growth at ROC and provide two new nonstop destinations to Charlotte / Concord and Central Florida’s Lakeland, showcasing Avelo’s low fares, travel-friendly convenience and industry-leading reliability," Avelo Airlines founder and CEO Andrew Levy said in a statement. "This exclusive nonstop service also makes exploring the abundance of experiences the Rochester area has to offer a fast and seamless journey for visitors.”

Avelo already has non-stop trips to both Raleigh, North Carolina and Greenville, South Carolina.

“Avelo Airline and the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport continue to grow together with this latest expansion of direct service from Rochester to Lakeland, FL and Charlotte/Concord, NC," Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said in a statement. "We appreciate Avelo’s commitment to add more affordable connections between Monroe County and other growing destination communities. Our continued investment in the airport is paying dividends by attracting quality carriers such as Avelo to do business in Monroe County.”
