Rochester native Isaiah Stewart has been drafted 16th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. The former McQuaid star played just one season at the University of Washington before being selected in the first round by the Portland Trail Blazers, who traded him to the Detroit Pistons.

"I'm looking forward to playing at that level," Stewart said in October. "I feel like I can play in an NBA game tomorrow. I feel like I'm ready. I feel like my game fits the NBA game today. I'm confident in my game and what I bring so I'm looking forward to that level. I know it's going to be fun."

Stewart had a standout freshman season for the Huskies, starting all 32 games. He was the team's top scorer, averaging 17 points a game.
