One of the victims in a double homicide in Syracuse is from Rochester.
Syracuse police say 32-year-old Yeraldith Tschudy of Rochester was killed in the double shooting Monday night, along with an 11-year-old boy.
Police said they took 43-year-old David Huff into custody near the crime scene on Roney Road around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, acting on a citizen's tip. Huff had not yet been charged.
The Onondaga County district attorney said Huff was romantically involved with Tschudy. Those who knew the family said the 11-year-old victim was Huff's son.
The Syracuse Police Department said this is an active and ongoing investigation. Police ask anyone with information about Huff or the shooting to call them at (315) 442-5222.
