Rochester police are continuing to deal with car break-ins in the city. They say they arrested two juvenile suspects after more incidents early Thursday morning.

The RPD says officers responded to break-in reports around 1 a.m. on Vassar Street. At the same time, other officers responded to Thayer Street for the report of break-ins there.

According to investigators, they found the reported suspects' vehicle, a stolen Hyundai, on Rutgers Street and a pursuit began. The suspects eventually crashed on South Clinton and were taken into custody, police say.

The two teenagers, ages 16 and 14, are each facing multiple charges. The RPD says the 14-year-old who was driving is charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, as well as third and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

The 16-year-old passenger is charged with third and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and fourth-degree criminal mischief, according to the RPD.

Their names of the teens have not been released due to their ages.

Police anyone in the areas of Vassar, Dartmouth, Rutgers and Thayer streets, who had their cars broken into, should report it by calling 911.
