GATES, N.Y. — The Gates Police Department says a second suspect in the deadly carjacking attempt on Buell Road is now in custody.

The department says Anthony Jacobs, 16, of Rochester, was brought into their office around 11:30 a.m. on Friday by his mother.

Officials say Jacobs was involved in the fatal shooting of Richard Sciascia on Buell Road on April 7. According to Gates police, multiple agencies have spent the last week searching for the teen, including the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Another 16-year-old has already been charged in connection with the case. A grand jury indicted Edgar Tolentino. Investigators say he's charged with murder and is currently being held without bail.
