A car that would not stop for Greece police led officers on a chase Saturday across a wide area in Monroe County.

Greece police say the driver failed to stop when they tried to pull him over, leading to the pursuit east all the way to Webster and back to Irondequoit.

Officers say the driver hit a Greece police vehicle before finally stopping on Bay View Road.

The driver was taken into custody and checked out by an ambulance at the scene.

Spectrum News is told by police that they're investigating if alcohol played a role in the incident.

Authorities say no officers were hurt in the chase.
