Rochester Gas and Electric on Wednesday announced the start of planned outages in the Sodus area due to circuit upgrades.

RG&E says the upgrades are related to substation 210 and are aimed at reducing outages that local customers have been experiencing. 

The circuit that follows Maple Avenue, Lake Road and Middle Road will be impacted. 

RG&E says the disruptions are expected to last about four to five hours and will occur in segments.

  • Segment 1 – June 25 – Maple Avenue, south of Rt. 104, Belden Avenue, Spring Street and Danford Street from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (weather delay date of June 26, 2025, or next clear day)
  • Segment 2 – June 25 - Maple Avenue, north of Route 104 and south of Mud Lane from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (weather delay date of June 26 or next clear day)
  • Segment 3 - June 26 - Maple Avenue, north of Mud Lane to Lake Road from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (weather delay date of June 27 or next clear day)
  • Segment 4 – June 26- Lake Road at Maple Avenue, to just west of and including Dufloo Road from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (weather delay date of June 27, 2025, or next clear day)
  • Segment 5 – June 27 - Lake Road, west of Dufloo Road from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (weather delay date of June 28 or next clear day)
  • Segment 6 – June 27 - Middle Road, from Maple Avenue from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (weather delay date of June 28 or next clear day)
