ROCHESTER, N.Y. — In anticipation of forecasted high temperatures through the end of the week, the city of Rochester has enacted its Cool Sweep program from Wednesday to Friday.

The city says the Cool Sweep initiative is an effort to help residents cool down safely in extreme temperatures.

The following places will be open to help people beat the heat:

R-Centers (8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.)
