ROCHESTER, N.Y. — As temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 80s on Thursday, Cool Sweep will once again be in effect in the city of Rochester.
The city says the Cool Sweep initiative is an effort to help residents cool down safely in extreme temperatures and is in effect when the thermometer reaches or exceeds 85 degrees.
