RIT students held a Black Lives Matter rally on campus Saturday featuring speakers, poets and dancing groups.
The rally was held near the Gordon Field House.
A student organizer says she coordinated this event because people need to be educated about the purpose of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Speakers included RIT's Associate Provost for Diversity and Inclusion and a psychologist at the college.
RIT says there's an application in to start a new club called 'RIT Voices,' which will work to amplify the voice of students.
