A Rochester Democrat has announced her candidacy to succeed Adam Bello as county clerk.

Jennifer Boutte has previously held leadership roles for Wilson Commencement Park, JCC of Greater Rochester and the Catholic Family Center. Currently, she is the Director of Development and Community Engagement for CDS Life Transitions.

“Serving every resident of our community and making sure the office always meets their needs is job one for our Monroe County Clerk,” Boutte said in a statement. “Every organization I have helped lead has been dedicated to meeting this standard and putting people first. I know that together we can build upon County Executive-Elect Bello’s great work and ensure the County Clerk’s Office is an advocate for our citizens so that all of our government is working on their behalf.”
