Ahead of a Lakeshore Flood Warning, volunteers with the American Red Cross handed out clean up kits to residents on Sunday.
One of several streets the group visited was Edgemere Drive which has suffered some of the most damage. Efforts were also focused on Old Edgemere Drive and West Beach Road after disaster assessment teams visited the area last week.
Nearly 200 clean up kits containing a bucket, bleach, sponges, gloves, brushes and several other items were handed out.
Residents say they appreciate the help.
“It’s nice they come around and give you a few tools to help you out," Edgemere Drive resident Dale Meier said. "I had three inches of water in my basement, my neighbor two doors over had four feet on Tuesday."
With more flooding possible in the near future, Red Cross volunteers say they’ll return as many times as they need to.
