"I'm actually very cautious myself because I've had a personal friend killed at that intersection," said Farmington Water and Sewer Superintendent Dave Degear.

Thomas Bauer who lives near the intersection said he has had cars spin-out or crash on his family's front lawn.

"Just the speed of the tractor-trailer trucks going by — they go by 75 mph," said Bauer.

Renderings of the project are available for viewing at the Farmington Town Hall until May 3 and the county will also continue to take public comment.
