Cutting edge medical labs and a new eSports program are just some of the advances Bryant & Stratton College is showing off at its Henrietta campus.
Bryant & Stratton is a career-life-prep college that offers degrees in areas of business, graphic design, technology, healthcare, and legal services. The college invested $1 million in renovations for high-tech classrooms, medical assistance labs and a new eSports program.
"Everything we do is designed to help our students with the hands-on practical application and to make sure that they are learning what it is they came here to learn," said Campus Director Mike Mariani. "So by updating our labs and updating our classrooms and ensuring that our students have the best experience possible is mission number one for us."
Esports is a brand new club team, but come this fall it will be a sanctioned sport. The B&S Bobcats will be traveling and competing against other collegiate eSports teams like the U of R, RIT and Ohio State.
Chris Williams is the eSports head coach at Bryant & Stratton.
"It is very exciting for Bryant & Stratton to get an eSports team here and competing at a collegiate level," said Williams. "I have been a gamer my whole life and I've been here doing this for eight years in an administrative position so I'm excited to be a part of this at Bryant & Stratton College."
A renovation celebration is planned for Friday at noon. The campus is located at 125 Jefferson Road in Henrietta.
