Wendy Mills has what she says is the “best gig on TV”. She is part of “Your Morning Rochester” and is live in the community weekday mornings beginning at 7:00 a.m. Wendy is the eyes and ears of the viewers and is always out discovering what’s new throughout Greater Rochester. She focuses on hometown pride and volunteerism to help make our local community more visible and vibrant.
Wendy joined the Spectrum News team in 2001 after working as a journalist in Atlanta for seven years. She began her broadcasting career in radio, then moved to sports and back to news. She was once a Spectrum News sports intern – so when the opportunity came up to return to the Spectrum News team, she knew it was something she couldn’t pass up.
Wendy is a West Virginia University graduate and former volleyball player for the Mountaineers. She’s still in the WVU volleyball record books. Wendy received her degree in broadcast journalism, and to this day, is still a proud and true Mountaineer. When Wendy isn’t out in the field chasing the latest stories, you can find her enjoying family time with her twin boys - they love spending the summer out on the water, in the pool and at the family fruit farm and winery.
