Sheila McQuillen scored two goals 47 seconds apart and Amanda Adams scored the game-winner for William Smith in a 3-2 win over Stevens Tech in the NCAA Division III Women's soccer third round.

The Ducks took a 2-0 lead to half time but four minutes into the second half, McQuillen beat Adams to a loose ball in the box and scored to cut the lead in half.

47 seconds later, Katrine Berg sent a ball into the box, Julia Keogh dummied pass, letting it go through to McQuillen for the equalizer.

With 23 minutes left, Berg spotted Adams running free in the left part of the box and hit the side netting for the game-winner.

The Herons (19-1-1) face Johns Hopkins in the quarterfinal round in Geneva at 1pm with the winner playing in the National Semifinals in Greensboro in two weeks.

"We've always been a second half team and I knew we had to score early if we wanted to keep the momentum going, said McQuillen. "Getting the first two goals in the first five minutes really helped the momentum grow and then when Amanda finished it with the third, I knew we weren't gonna lose it by then because we were all going at it so hard."
