A man is dead after a crash Monday morning in Walden.
It happened on Albany Post Road and County Route 9. According to New York State Police, it involved three vehicles.
An Ulster County Department of Public Works vehicle was trying to back into an Albany Post Road driveway when a Jeep Grand Cherokee hit it, sending the DPW truck into the northbound lane of Albany Post Road, where it was then hit by another DPW truck, per state police. The Grand Cherokee overturned in the roadway when it hit the vehicle trying to back into a driveway.
Police say the driver of the Jeep, 34-year-old Kevin Kazmar of Pine Bush, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both DPW drivers were treated at and released from Orange Regional Hospital.
