Alfonso Davis is officially throwing his hat in the ring once again for Syracuse mayor, launching his fourth campaign for the city's top job.
Davis told Spectrum News 1 that he has a deep commitment to the people of Syracuse, and is running to bring real representation and transformative leadership to City Hall.
Davis is currently gathering signatures to secure his place on both the Democratic and Independence party lines.
Earlier this week, Syracuse's Democratic Committee endorsed Pat Hogan for the lofty title. He is currently also a Syracuse Common Council member.
Republicans have selected Thomas Babilon, a former city hall lawyer, as their party's nominee.
Incumbent Mayor Ben Walsh finishes his final term at the end of this year.
