A week after harmful algal blooms were discovered in two Cayuga County lakes, Onondaga County is now facing a similar issue.

Rochester police say two people are dead and five others are recovering after a mass shooting in Maplewood Park. According to investigators, officers were responding to reports of shots fired around 6:20 p.m. Sunday on Bridge View Drive. When police arrived, they say they found multiple people with gunshot wounds at a large gathering.
