While 95% of leaves are still green across NYS, we can see some signs of fall in the Adirondacks this weekend.
Typically, "I LOVE NY’s" first foliage report of the season usually comes out on the first Wednesday of September. I was a little surprised this morning when I checked the site this morning to see that wouldn’t be the case this year, that it’s being put off until next week on Sept. 14.
Thankfully, I have many friends that live within the Adirondack Park that report foliage conditions to me this time of the year, so I can share a couple pictures of what’s going on with the color up there.
Outside of a few splashes of color in the Adirondacks, everyone is still very green. With that being said if you're heading to the Adirondacks to see a little color the forecast is in great shape, although still feeling very much like summer.
This foliage blog will become much more in-depth and rich with pictures as the season progresses. Speaking of pictures, we'd love to see your fall foliage pictures from across the state. You can share them by using the Spectrum News app.
