Construction is beginning this week on a new roundabout project in Clifton Park.
According to the New York State Department of Transportation, the intersection of State Route 146 and Vischer Ferry Road will be redesigned.
It's a change that DOT officials say will make it safer and smoother.
According to the state, more than 33,000 vehicles use the intersection every day.
The $3.9 million project will have at least two weekend closures during the summer as well as some construction work at night.
The roundabout is expected to be opened this fall and the project will be completely done by the end of the year.
