SCHODACK, N.Y. —  A Schodack man is behind bars after New York State Police say he sent obscene pictures to a 15-year-old girl and invited her to have sex with him.

Wayne Calkins, 44, was first arrested on October 9 and was later charged with five counts of rape and endangering the welfare of a child.

As the investigation continued, Calkins was arrested again last Friday.

Calkins was arraigned in the Town of Schodack Court and remanded back to Rensselaer County Jail without bail.

No date has yet been set for Calkins' trial in Rensselaer County Court.
