New York high school basketball's biggest stage is once again in Glens Falls.

The Cool Insuring Arena will host the NYSPHSAA boys state tournament for the first time since 2016. It's back after three years in Binghamton and two years off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The tournament runs Friday through Sunday.

This year, four Section II teams are in the state semifinals in various classes: Green Tech, Ichabod Crane, Stillwater and Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville. See the brackets here.

Glens Falls had hosted the tournament for 36 straight years from 1981-2016 before moving to the Southern Tier.

Due to declining COVID-19 numbers, the tournament will not be subjected to any mass gathering rules. Proof of vaccination or a negative test are not required anymore.
