Ian Anderson and the Atlanta Braves saw their season end a win short of the World Series.

Cody Bellinger's tie-breaking solo home run in the seventh inning was the difference in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 4-3 win in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday night in Arlington, Texas, sending L.A. to its third Fall Classic in four years and keeping Atlanta from reaching its first World Series since 1999.

Anderson, the 22-year-old rookie and Shenendehowa High School product, got the start for Atlanta, having previously pitched a strong Game 2 outing, but gave up his first runs of the postseason in the third inning. His scoreless streak of 17 2/3 innings was the third-longest to start a postseason career.

Justin Turner drew a two-out walk, Max Muncy doubled, and Will Smith bounced a two-run single through the open gap near second created by the defensive shift.

Game 1 of the World Series between the Dodgers and the American League champion Tampa Bay Rays is Tuesday night at 8:09 p.m.
