Nauman Hussain's appeal of his conviction in connection with the 2018 Schoharie limousine crash has been denied.
The appeal was denied by the State Supreme Court's appellate division, in a ruling released Thursday morning.
Last spring, Hussain — the operator of Prestige Limousine, whose vehicle crashed at the intersection of Routes 30 and 30A on Oct. 6, 2018, killing the driver, 17 passengers and two pedestrians — was convicted of 20 counts of manslaughter for his role in the crash. A jury found Hussain was reckless in his actions for skirting around state Transportation Department laws and sending out an unsafe vehicle.
Hussain is currently serving 5-15 years in prison.
