An Albany man was arrested and charged with forging temporary license plates and car registrations.
The Albany County Sheriff's Office said Wayne Holmes, 63, was arrested Wednesday after a month-long investigation by the sheriff's office and the state Department of Motor Vehicles. Holmes, officials said, was found to have fake temporary license plates from New York, New Jersey and Texas, with matching fake car registrations.
Holmes was charged with second-degree forgery, seven counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, and a vehicle and traffic law misdemeanor. He will be arraigned Thursday morning in Albany criminal court.
