State Police on Thursday released the identities of three people that died in a double murder-suicide in Schodack, along with that of another resident that escaped the home after being shot.

Manjeet Kaur, 55, and Jasleen Kaur, 14, died from gunshot wounds sustained in a domestic incident that occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in their home in Castleton-on-Hudson, a village in Schodack, according to State Police.

The shooter, identified as Bhupinder Singh, 57, lived in the home and was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, State Police said. All three of the deceased were located inside the home, according to police.

A fourth resident, Rashpal Kaur, 40, was shot in the arm, but managed to flee the residence. She was being treated at Albany Medical Center, and was expected to survive.

Members of the Schodack Police Department and Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office helped investigate the deadly incident. Also assisting were the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office, Village of Nassau Police Department, Nassau Ambulance, Castleton Volunteer Ambulance, Mohawk Ambulance, and W.F. Bruen Rescue Squad.
