Bethlehem Police are treating the deaths of two Selkirk people as a murder-suicide.

Officers first arrived at a Chesterwood Drive home Tuesday afternoon, when they were called for a welfare check. Not much information was available at the time, but police said Wednesday that the bodies of two people — 58-year-old Bhupinder Saran and 58-year-old Sarbjit Saran — were found on the second floor.

Upon completion of autopsies Wednesday, police said they determined that Bhupinder Saran had killed Sarbjit; there was a refrain-from order of protection out against Bhupinder, and there was, per police, "a past history of domestic incidents involving the two," though nothing in the last year.
