Bethlehem police have arrested a Selkirk man accused of inappropriate contact with children.

Matthew Wilson, 20, was arrested Monday in connection to an incident that took place last week in an after-school program in the Bethlehem school district, per police. Wilson, who was working for School's Out, Inc., a private before- and after-school care contractor, was alleged to have inappropriate contact with four kids younger than 11 before the start of classes.

According to police, the children "immediately reported the incident to other staff members and their parents." This was also stated by the Bethlehem Central School District in a statement. Officials and parents then contacted police.

Bethlehem police arrested Wilson, and he was charged with four counts of forcible touching, a misdemeanor, and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, also a misdemeanor. He was arraigned and released under supervision of probation; his next court appearance is December 3.

While Wilson wasn't a district employee at the time of the alleged incident, police say he has worked at other schools in the Bethlehem district, and warn there could be more victims. Police and the school district are asking anyone with concerns to call police at 518-439-9973.
