Gov. Andrew Cuomo appeared on ABC’s This Week with George Stephanopoulos offering praise for Joe Biden, while giving a sense of what he may be confronting come Inauguration Day.
The governor worried that a Biden administration may inherit a flawed vaccine rollout strategy from President Trump's task force, and all too little else.
It comes at a time when coronavirus cases are at record highs nationally. Friday, the United States shattered its single-day COVID-19 case record, topping 126,000 cases.
Cuomo also gave his perspective on the American people's choice.
"You'll see. Joe Biden is going to be all about that affirmative effort to find the commonality, the cord that connects,” Cuomo said on ABC. “I think that's what it was all about. I also think there's a general disdain for Washington, when people's lives are under real stress, and they're having real challenges, they're pointing fingers in Washington. If there was ever a time in history not to do it, now was the time."
The governor also says he thinks it's a mistake that some Republicans are not yet acknowledging Biden's win.
