A public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. Monday on the city of Albany's proposed 2025 budget.

The plan includes a $221 million budget and is a $5 million reduction from 2024.

It also includes plans to increase the tax levy by 2% to a total of nearly $63 million, according to the budget plan. The levy would decline .3% for homeowners, and increase 5% for business owners.

The full proposed budget can be found here.

The meeting will be held in City Hall's Common Council Chambers. Anyone who wants to comment can submit them in writing to commoncouncil@albanyny.gov or testify in person. The hearing will also be streamed live on YouTube.
