Jury selection for the trial of Kevin Monahan has been set.
Monahan is accused of killing 20-year-old Kaylin Gillis in Washington County earlier this year after she accidentally turned into his driveway in her car.
The trial was delayed to allow more time for an expert for the defense to analyze evidence. Jury selection will start on Jan. 8, 2024.
In April, Gillis, 20, of Schuylerville, was killed when the car she was riding in mistakenly turned in a Hebron driveway. The homeowner, Monahan, is accused of shooting at the SUV, killing Gillis. Washington County Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy said in April that neither Gillis nor her friends exited the vehicle, and none exchanged words with Monahan.
Monahan, 65, has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence.
