Yoga instructor Rosa Rivera is helping expecting mothers connect with their mind body and soul through her Prenatal Yoga classes.

“So, prenatal yoga for a lot of expecting people is kind of like the only time that they get to focus on their body,” she said.

Studies show this practice can improve sleep, and increase strength, flexibility and endurance needed for childbirth.

“This really comes in handy when we talk about labor and birth because that’s a huge surrender,” she explained.

A bonus to a class like hers, is that she is also a doula, which is a person that supports mothers before, during and after the birthing process through education and advocacy.

Rivera says this class is just one of the many building blocks to creating harmony with your baby and body.
