Six Flags Great Escape will introduce a new wooden roller coaster that is "enhanced by modern innovation" next year, the theme park announced Wednesday.
The Bobcat is the Lake George park's largest investment in nearly 25 years, and the first-of-its-kind in Six Flags history, the park said.
The coaster will take riders to a top height of 55 feet in the air before reaching speeds of nearly 40 mph.
"Modernized ride trains allow for a more comfortable ride experience, tighter turns along the course, and maximum thrills on a timeless wooden track," the park's website says.
